Neeraj has over 10 years of experience designing and developing medical devices, products for special needs and other consumer products. He has co-founded Crimson Healthcare, a patient centric Medtech innovation company with a focus on developing an innovative product for ostomy management. The product has successfully completed clinical evaluation stage and is expected to launch by April 2022. He has also worked for a large medtech company - Medtronic, in its global surgical innovation group for about 3 years after completing Biodesign innovation fellowship from Stanford India Biodesign program in 2015.

Methodology Of Bio Design And Its Role In Medical Devices Innovation: Bio-design innovation process is a redefined design process focusing on designing medical devices with a great focus on identifying unmet clinical need using methods like clinical immersion, conducting VOCs, understanding clinical environment/users and devices and then helps innovators to design solutions which are technically feasible, intuitive, and viable for commercialization. Application of such design process in medical science is even more crucial as its application has direct correlation with the Quality of Life of a patient or the clinical outcome of a procedure. Medical device companies, hospitals and other organizations have been developing innovative medical products, serving community with more empathy, and addressing problems in a better and efficient manner through the application of Bio-design.
