Descriptiion: Saliency plays a major role in Human Vision System (HVS) by steering our attention to some perceptually distinguishable region of a scene which effectively reduces the amount of information that needs to be processed for performing other higher level tasks such as object recognition, scene understanding and video summarization. Inspired with the working of HVS, in Salient Object detection, the objective is to highlight and process only those regions of an image that are perceptually significant from their surroundings in that image. We are working with different image modalities to propose a system to assist car drivers in adverse/ low light driving situations
