About Our Unit
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, established in 1948. It integrates the Army, Navy, and Air Force through 17 directorates, with its National Headquarters located in New Delhi.
The NCC unit at Pandit Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur (IIITDM Jabalpur), functions under the prestigious 1 MP Armoured Squadron of the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Directorate. Aligned with the NCC motto, “Unity and Discipline,” the unit provides a platform for students to develop into resilient, disciplined, and socially responsible leaders.
Cadets actively participate in a wide range of activities, including weapon handling, firing practice, drill, map reading, and the execution of Guard of Honour duties, fostering teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Participation in Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC) and advanced national camps such as the Drone Training Camp provides valuable exposure, practical skills, and life-changing experiences.
Through these diverse activities and training opportunities NCC helps shape confident individuals with leadership qualities, a spirit of service, and a commitment to nation-building.
