Applications are invited from postgraduate students to participate in the Karyashala on Social Robotics and AI organized by PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur under Accelerate Vigyan scheme of the SERB, DST, Govt. of India.

Karyashala Objectives:

Today the robotics is moving to help the societal needs. Some example includes how robotics can play its role in recent pandemic (CoVID). Further, robotics can help the persons with physical disability or elderly persons in their daily needs. This Karyashala will focus on providing basic knowledge to the participants on

  • Robotics fundamentals
  • AI and its role in Robotics
  • Role of robotics for societal uses

The karyashala aims to provide demonstration on design and fabrication of robots, their programming to the participants.



About PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur:

IIITDM Jabalpur is an Institute of National Importance, established by Government of India in 2005 with a focus on education and research in IT enabled Design and Manufacturing. Since its inception, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur has been playing a vital role in producing quality human resources for contribution in India’s mission of inclusive and sustainable growth. The Institute offers undergraduate, post graduate and PhD programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design and PhD programmes in Natural Sciences (Mathematics and Physics). Under IIIT act, the Institute has been declared as an Institute of National Importance in January 2015. The Institute campus is being developed on 250 acres of land close to Dumna Airport, Jabalpur.
