Course objectives: This course is designed to provide an exposure on Soft Computing Algorithms. Soft Computing algorithms are playing vital role to approximate the solution of many NP Hard problems. The field is getting popularity day-by-day. Hence, a course is needed which can train the faculties in this area so that many more applications can be explored with the help of evolutionary algorithms. Participants will learn basics of different evolutionary algorithms and their application in different engineering areas. The aim of this FDP is to introduce faculty and student to learn these soft computing techniques in an efficient way. This programme will provide hands-on experience to participants through various examples and assignments.
Course Contents:
Module 1: Complexity Theory, Optimization Problems, Introduction to Soft Computing
Module 2: Evolutionary Algorithms for Optimization
Module 3: Nature Inspired Algorithms for Optimization
Module 4: Research problems and Applications of Soft Computing

Under IIIT act, the Institute has been declared as an Institute of National Importance in January 2015. The Institute campus is being developed on 250 acres of land close to Dumna Airport, Jabalpur. Who can attend: Programme is open to faculty from all colleges and universities across all states and union territory of India. Research scholars and post graduate students are also eligible. Industry personnel working in the concerned/allied discipline may also apply.
