Ph.D Course Curriculum


Note *
  • Elective courses will be floated as per the decision of the disciplines
  • An elective can be substituted by EMFs
  • The student is supposed to pass a Comprehensive Examination designed to test the overall comprehension of the student in various subjects relevant for his/her field of specialization. A student can appear in the Comprehensive Examination only after he/she has completed the minimum course requirements and satisfied the minimum specified CPI requirement.
  • A student is required to give research seminar before comprehensive if registered thesis credit is more than 8 credits.
  • After comprehensive examination, student is required to register one progress seminar in each semester.
  • A student has to register 1 credit teaching work in any two semesters after comprehensive examination.
  • After completion of requirements including thesis work, student is required to give OPEN seminar on the recommendation of RPC.
  • Student has to submit the thesis within 3 months of the OPEN seminar for evaluation. If failed, the OPEN seminar will be repeated.
