About The Institute

PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur was established in 2005 with a focus on education and research in IT-enabled Design and Manufacturing. The Institute offers an undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design and PhD programmes in Mathematics, Physics and Engish. Under IIIT act, the Institute has been declared as an Institute of National Importance in January 2015. The Institute campus is being developed on 250 acres of land, situated among the picturesque hills besides nature reserve forest at Dumna Airport Road, Jabalpur. The Institute is 10 kms from the main railway station and 5.5 kms from Dumna Airport, Jabalpur.

Department

The Natural Science discipline is one of the pioneering disciplines of the Institute having Mathematics and Physics both discipline under his umbrella. The discipline of Mathematics has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members engaged in teaching, research and development with the aim of achieving excellence in their fields. The discipline (Mathematics) focuses in various fields of mathematics including Parallel Computing, Computer Vision, Image Forensic, Cryptography, Random Networks, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Numerical Solutions of Partial Differential Equations, Optimization, Nonlinear Analysis, Applied Functional Analysis, Probability Theory and Random Networks.

The discipline is celebrating national mathematical day on the birth anniversary of great Indian mathematician Ramanujan, also known as Ramanujan day, by conducting a National Symposium on Mathematical Sciences and Applications. The symposium covers broad spectra of topics related to the several applications of mathematics in engineering and Sciences. Speakers of the symposium will come from the Prestigious Institutions of India including IIT, HRI and ISI to share their idea in his expertise area. The interest areas of the programme are as follows (but are not limited to): Optimization Techniques, Nonlinear Programming Problems, Cryptography, Partial differential equation, Game theory, etc.
