Students' Activities

The Institute campus and the student hostels are located at Dumna Airport Road Jabalpur. Both are compounded well with 24 hour security for staff and students. Regular bus services are operated by the Institute to provide transportation for the nearest Cantt market and railway station. Emergency transportation is available 24X7. IIITDMJ emphasizes on several extra-curricular activities in addition to its rigorous academic programme. Although the Institute is in the growing stage, Football ground, volley ball, basket ball and tennis courts will soon be functional at the Institute premises.

Students' Participation in IIITDMJ- Japan Collaboration

There has been a significant participation of students in IIITDMJ - Japan collaboration. Every year about 10-15 students go for 10 days exposure visit to Japan. In addition to this Govt. of Japan also offers summer internships to students. All these visits and internships are fully sponsored by Govt. of Japan. This year, seven students were offered internships from Japanese companies in their locations in Japan. The students were selected on the basis of their academic merit. |  |
Campus Fest
The students have been organizing annual festivals Tarang (Cultural Festival), Abhikalpan (Technical festival) and Gusto (Sports festival) in the campus regularly ever since the inception of the Institute. These festivals have become very popular among the students of other colleges of Jabalpur also and a significant number of students of other colleges participate in these events. Apart from this, students of the Institute also participate in many technical, sports, and cultural festivals organized by other premier institutes of the Country. It was indeed remarkable that students keep winning prizes at these festivals. National Festivals like Independence day and Republic day are also organized by IIITDMJ students with great enthusiasm.
